Made to order, woven by hand

Every Dariyaa rug begins on a hand-operated loom in rural India. A custom rug begins one step earlier — with you. Tell us your size, your palette, and the feeling you want the room to have, and our artisan partners weave it exactly for your space.

What you can customise

  • Size — any dimensions, from a bedside runner to an oversized living-room centrepiece
  • Colours — choose from our natural-dye palette or match tones from your interior (send us a photo or colour reference)
  • Technique — dense Panja pile, reversible flat-weave Kilim, or lightweight cotton Dhurrie
  • Pattern — adapt one of our existing designs, or work with us on something new

How it works

  1. Tell us your idea — write to care@dariyaa.eu with your room measurements, preferred colours, and a photo of the space if you like.
  2. We design together — within a few days you receive a proposal with design direction, materials, and a fixed price. No obligation.
  3. Your rug is woven — once you confirm, weaving begins. A handwoven rug takes time to make well: allow 4–6 weeks.
  4. Delivered to your door — shipped to you anywhere in the EU, with care instructions included.

Materials and price

Custom rugs are woven from the same premium wool and cotton as our main collection, coloured with chemical-free dyes. Pricing depends on size, material, and complexity — as a guide, custom pieces start around the price of a comparable rug from our collection. You receive a fixed quote before anything is woven.

A note on time

A handwoven rug is not produced; it is made — row by row, by hand. The 4–6 week lead time is what honest craftsmanship takes. It is also what makes your rug yours alone.

Hallo, ich bin Harpreet, das Gesicht hinter Dariyaa.
Inspiriert von der Handwerkskunst meiner Mutter gründete ich Dariyaa in Berlin. In ihrer Jugend webte sie Teppiche von Hand, und Jahre später vermachte sie mir einige ihrer wertvollsten Stücke. Sie wurden zu meinen wertvollsten Besitztümern – nicht nur Teppiche, sondern auch Erinnerungsstücke an sie, an unser Zuhause, an unsere Kultur.

Dariyaa wurde geschaffen, um genau dieses Gefühl zu vermitteln: den Trost des Erbes, die Seele handgefertigter Kunst und die Freude, ein Stück „Zuhause“ überallhin mitzunehmen, wohin das Leben einen führt.
